Investor Relations finally goes video?

A majority (85 %) of the OMX Nordic 40 companies use IR video as webcasts regularly. In the Nordic Region, the trend with IR video started with Cybercom’s video version of their annual report a couple of years ago.

Today webcasts are common practice for a majority of the Nordic large cap companies. For Swedish small and mid cap companies, Stock On TV has arisen as a cost effective alternative offering short CEO interviews.

There is large variety in the quality of the webcasts and there is no standard way of finding them. But Helsinki-listed Metso are one example of Best practice offering a separate webcast of the Q&A session.

According to IR Magazine, the Canadian company Mosaid has launched an investor channel that is a video based version of the company’s web site.

Mosaid takes the use of IR video beyond state of the art, offering everything from major press releases, industry news and strategy presentations in a video format.

Mosaid’s IR director Michael Salter states that as a small cap company the management has limited time to reach out to the investor community. The Investor Channel is a new way for the company to provide “face-to-face contact”

Mosaid’s IR channel is a fresh and new way of presenting investor news and building corporate reputation.

Which Nordic company will be the first one to offer a Nordic version of the Investor Channel?
